When tying a new warp to an old warp, one of the methods for picking up the ends of the new warp is to hold the entire cross in your hand. Alternatively, you can secure the cross to the breast beam using a set of lease sticks. I thought it might be helpful to show a close up of what the cross looks like and how you can tell what ends need to be chosen next.
