I told my kids I had cancer. And I truly believe it was the right thing to do for our family. We made sure to keep life as normal as possible while I went through treatment. Mommy was just really sick while the doctors gave Mommy medicine. My daughter got to see me face this challenge in real time, raw and uncut. Life isn’t always fair, but I showed her how to “dance through the lightening strikes” If cancer was going to be part of their story anyway, I wanted them to see how to face it. . #canc
